Finca Rocabella is comprised of ten cottages all completely independent of each other. We have taken particular care to integrate them into the surrounding countryside where centuries old carob trees and various types of Mediterranean oaks and shrubbery thrive. Lying on the slopes of the "Sierra Huma" mountain (1.019m) its unique position offers magnificent views of the Guadalhore Valley whilst allowing you to savour the tranquility and aromas of the mountains and the Mediterranean woodland.

Each villa has a large private garden with its own swimming pool and barbecue and a spacious interior comprised of: a living room equipped with fireplace, colour TV and music system with CD player, two bedrooms (one double, one twin), a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with oven and washing machine. The terracotta floors, wooden furniture and wooden beamed and cane ceilings give the houses a rustic and cosy finish.

ROCABELLA RESTAURANT: Complementing these 10 houses is Rocabella Restaurant where you can sample the typical cuisine of the area in a warm welcoming family atmosphere.

From the East From the A-92 motorway take exit 146 for Antequera and follow signs through the town for "El Torcal" or "Valle de Abdalajis". This will take you out of the top end of town and after about 2 km you should take a right turning signposted A-343 Valle de Abdalajis. As you approach the village of Valle de Abdalajis you will need to turn right following signs to "El Chorro". About 4.5 km from the village on the right you will find Finca Rocabella on your right hand side.

From direction Malaga Airport take the road direction Antequera - Motril and later take the A-357 direction Cartama, Parque Tecnológico and Universidad off the N-340. This is a tricky juntion and not well singposted so you will need to keep your eyes open. Stay on the A-357 until you see signs for Alora and Pizarra. Turn off here and continue following signs for Alora F.F.C.C. and the you will start to see signs for El Chorro which will bring you over a dam bridge and to the railway station. Continue past the railway station on your left leaving El Chorro behind you. Stay on this road for 3.5 km without turning right towards subestacion "Tajo de La Encantada" and you will find "Finca Rocabella" on your left.

The establishment Finca Rocabella is within the municipality of Álora, belonging to the region of Valle del Guadalhorce.

El Valle del Guadalhorce conforma un territorio muy cercano a Málaga capital, con la que está unido mediante buenas vías de comunicación, y colindante con parajes de excepcional interés paisajístico y ecológico, como la Sierra de las Nieves, los Montes de Málaga, el conjunto de embalses del Guadalhorce o la singular formación geológica del Desfiladero de los Gaitanes. El encanto de la arquitectura popular de los pueblos de esta comarca no pasa desapercibido al visitante, así como tampoco su rica y variada gastronomía, basada en los excelentes productos de la zona. La proximidad de los pueblos entre sí y la belleza paisajística del entorno invitan a la práctica del senderismo, para lo que hay recorridos establecidos que pasan por lugares especialmente atractivos, tanto en las sierras como en el propio valle.

Parque Natural Sierra de las Nieves
Posee una gran riqueza natural, con infinidad de especies animales y vegetales, algunas especies vegetales casi únicas en el mundo, como el Pinsapo o el Quejigo de montaña, otras especies animales como la Cabra montés o la Nutria mantienen en esta reserva poblaciones de individuos estables. Existe un ejemplar de pinsapo, el Pinsapo de Las Escaleretas, que está declarado Monumento natural.

Montes de Málaga
Está situado al norte de la Ciudad de Málaga, En la zona norte se aprecian pinos carrascos mezclados con encinas, alcornoques y quejigos, especies mediterráneas que colonizaban este espacio antes de su degradación. Respecto a la fauna, podemos decir que se encuentra bien conservada, siendo apreciada en primer lugar por los elementos que se encuentran en peligro de extinción, siendo una de los escasos enclaves en los que se localiza en la actualidad el camaleón. También habitan el turón, la comadreja, el gato montés, la garduña y el jabalí.

Desfiladero de los Gaitanes
Es un cañón excavado por el río Guadalhorce en la provincia de Málaga (España), con acceso desde el norte por los embalses del Guadalhorce y desde el sur por El Chorro (Álora), que en algunos puntos sólo tiene 10 metros de anchura y que alcanza los 700 metros de profundidad.
